Blade–Made has realised an urban furniture ensemble for the area of ‘Bleekerseiland’ in Meppel, the Netherlands. The objects play a crucial part in the urban design by Superuse Studios, focusing on leveraging material reuse to its highest potential.

‘Bleekerseiland’, Dutch for ‘Bleachers Island’ refers to the old textile bleaching factory that was situated at this exact location. At that time, the sheets were laid out on the field to dry. The image of the white sheets contrasting with the green grass is imitated by the white wind turbine blade objects.

A total of two whole blades and two additional tips have been transformed into multiple objects ranging from stepping stones, planters and benches.
